The first return
Hello fellow spelunkers. We made a trip back to the capsule on 11/22/2013. I was pleased to find that people have found and signed the capsule! It is still in the original location down the second rope, and visible from the hole in the floor. Again we brought our own gear to reach it, but the other ropes are still there. Don't forget to post here if you reached the capsule!

Hey I visited a week ago. Going down into that pit of hell was awesome. Very difficult to get back out as ropes were slippery.
ReplyDeleteI was curious if you knew what that hole is where it says "look" in yellow paint. It almost looked like ropes were up there.
Just got out and home found ur capsule its al destroy now tho sucks man
ReplyDeleteHello, I represent a few members from the early 80s that would like to tour J4 again and are wondering what the access is like. We recall no security and just traversing across the side of the quarry wall to the pipe entrance that was open. Is this still this case? Any info to access would be greatly appreciated. Need to get back to the dome room after 30+ years. Thanks, Jon Hillis.

ReplyDeleteVisited the cave on November 12, 2018. The cave entrance is still accessible and we had no issues with trespassing etc. We explored up to the highway step across but no further. Message me if you have any questions. - Trent S.
Myself, my friend Carl and my son just got back from the J4 cave and it was awesome. Didn't get to see or sign the book. Is it still their ? And I left a red rope attached up top on the right side of the cave.
